All Movement Can Be Exercise
Exercise doesn’t need to be a chore.
To many people, the word “exercise” evokes images of sweating while running on a treadmill, getting shouted at by trainers while riding a stationary bike, or grunting as you lift weights to build muscle. For some, these images are empowering. For others they are painful.
A lot of notions about exercise involve complex, convoluted activities performed much like a ritual. They are intense, time-consuming, and require discomfort and pain.
Our egos tend to reject anything that offers us discomfort. Yet when we choose to change that’s exactly what we get. Change is a step outside our comfort zones.
I have been battling my weight and fighting to get into better physical shape all my life. I’ve employed different diet plans, intense workout regimens, working with a nutritionist, intermittent fasting, and various other activities of that like.
Though I struggle most with consuming less sugar and carbs — exercise has been an issue, too.
In the winter of 1997, I went with my coworkers to the CES in Las Vegas. It was my first experience in Sin City — and apart from some good food (but no good coffee to be found) — I am not a fan.
