Am I Really Being True to Who I Truly Am Today?
The question of who I truly am is ever-changing.
Some people put a lot of time and effort into getting to know themselves. They take deep, long looks into all the aspects that make them who they are.
Others just exist. They have little to no knowledge of who, what, why, where, how, or even when they are — and don’t much care.
Most people have at least a general understanding of themselves. It may not be very in-depth, nor entirely timely — but they aren’t completely unaware.
I strive very hard to know myself on every level that I can. During my life, I’ve also existed both with no knowledge at all and only the limited knowledge of most.
Being aware of who I am is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it lets me make choices and decisions that empower me. But a curse, because sometimes — due to the nature of constant change — choices once viewed as wise and good get viewed as unwise and poor.
When all is said and done, though, what matters most about being aware of who I am is whether I am being true to myself. Or not.
