Finding the Source
In trying to understand life, the Universe, and everything — what and where is the source?
I read a lot.
Over the past several months I’ve been giving myself more time for reading. Every morning, for months now, I read.
No breaks. No days off. Every morning I read. I read at least one chapter of fiction and one of nonfiction.
Since I write fiction, reading fiction turns me on to ideas, inspiration, and gives me a sense of what other writers do. Most of the fiction I read falls into the same genres I write.
When it comes to nonfiction, though, my interest is a bit broader. I read a lot of inspirational, self-help, mindfulness, conscious reality creation books. Some are focused on identity, some on habits, others on wealth. I also like to sometimes read outside my general knowledge base and comfort zone and get into science.
When it comes to fiction, the focus is on inspiration, entertainment, and supporting writers like me. But when it comes to nonfiction, in truth, it’s all about finding the source.
The source of what? The answer to this question is as unique as every single individual on this planet.
