Forward Motion Empowers Everyone
Life is always in motion.
You will find that even when you’re idle, things progress. The world is never perfectly still, life never actually comes to a stop. You’re always moving along.
Humans have an astounding number of choices for how our lives can be lived. The rest of the animal kingdom of this world pretty much lives for survival. Humans, however, do so very much more than merely survive. Human beings are builders and destroyers, creators and evaluators, always in motion along the way.
People often try to go back. They become nostalgic for a time, a place, and/or a thing that was (though frequently the way they think it was never truly existed). Likewise, people are frequently looking ahead to the destinations, goals, and end results. Too seldom do people live in the now, and savor all of the opportunities, potential, choices, and other great possibilities of this moment. As they are also in motion, now — this present moment — is the time to choose from them.
Even when you strive to be here, now, life is always in motion. Whether you desire it or not, that motion is forward motion. Time may be relative, but because change is inevitable, you will grow, age, and learn new things, whether willingly or kicking and screaming. You inexorably move forward.
