How Do I Restart Good Habits That Have Stalled?
Restarting some good but stalled habits I have been working with is a challenge.
I recognize and acknowledge that I have had my share of both good habits and bad in this life.
It’s easy not to recognize a habit. We chalk it up to rote and routine, a thing we do. But habits can be very self-perpetuating, good or bad.
Arguably, there are neutral habits. But even they tend, in my opinion, to generate a net positive or net negative.
Habits can be formed, built, created, changed, altered, and even removed with a little work. This is a matter of our overall health, wellness, and wellbeing.
That’s because habits will impact all four elements of our health — mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
As I have been working to recognize and acknowledge my habits, I’ve made an effort to start new habits that are good and net positive.
But old habits are hard to break, and distractions from both within and without can get in the way. Before you know it, a habit you were trying to create gets sidetracked — and now it has stalled.
