How Do Some People Manage to Get to Sleep Instantly?
I have never been able to get to sleep quickly at all.
My ability to sleep has been improving.
But I still, technically, don’t get enough sleep. Even on my best night, I tend to get only about 7 hours, tops.
Still — an improvement. For a couple of decades or more, I tended to sleep between 4–6 hours a night.
I never used to care so much about this. Things got done and I lived my life. But as I am putting more effort into caring for my health, wellness, and wellbeing, I’m giving sleep the attention it deserves.
Why is this important?
I am not going to site the various medical studies, nor get into a lengthy explanation of the importance of sleep. But the fact remains that sleep is absolutely necessary to our health.
All of our health. Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Insufficient sleep — science tells us — leads to issues with cognitive function, perception issues, mistakes, and carelessness. That’s just a quick summation.
Not getting enough sleep means we are not giving our bodies sufficient time to reset. Again, this is on all levels.
