How Important is it to Recognize and Acknowledge It to Change It?
It’s very important. You can’t change what you don’t recognize or acknowledge.
This topic might be controversial. Tough.
Here in the United States, health care is not a right, but a privilege. Unless you have the best insurance you can get — you’re paying large sums out-of-pocket, and/or large co-pays, and/or large deductibles. This has created a broken system that is not going to be fixed by those who can fix it anytime soon — because there’s no profit in that.
This is the key issue. For-profit healthcare does not care for the people. It cares only about the shareholders and other sources of revenue.
Now let’s couple this with the recent leak of the Supreme Court’s coming decision to overturn Roe v Wade and a woman’s right to terminate her pregnancy.
Does this address helping her with prenatal care for the child they insist she must carry? Birth assistance? Childcare? Of course not. Nope, this is all about ideology over common-sense health, wellness, and wellbeing matters.
You do not need to be for this procedure. Abortion is health care. Whatever reason this procedure is chosen — danger to the woman’s life, imminent stillbirth, other dangerous…
