If You Didn’t Get it Done Today, Why Can’t You Do it Tomorrow?
If you didn’t get it done today — tomorrow is another day.
I am not a fan of the feeling I get when I don’t get something done that I planned to do.
Whether it’s writing, editing, exercise, or anything at all — if it was part of my agenda or otherwise scheduled, I feel lots of different negative feelings when I don’t get it done today.
Then, sometimes, this creates a further downward spiral. This can set off anxiety, depression, and sensations of worthlessness and hopelessness. Neither of which are good sensations.
It may seem too easy — but there is a solution for you when you don’t get those things done today.
What is it? Do it tomorrow.
Every day is unique
Perhaps yesterday was a terrible, no-good, awful day. Maybe everything that could go wrong DID go wrong. Perhaps the best-laid plans we shattered by something unexpected. Whatever the case — numerous things didn’t get done, or done to your satisfaction.
Now you have a choice. Today is a new day. Do you carry the no-good, terrible, awfulness of yesterday forward into today? Or do you start anew with this new day?
