Is Today an On Day or an Off Day?

Practicing mindfulness may be an everyday occurrence, but some days can be more challenging than others.

Is today an on day or an off day?

What’s the difference? When it comes to being mindful and better conscious of your thoughts, feelings, and actions, there are going to be days where it goes well, and days where it proves otherwise difficult.

Despite all attempts to be mindful and better aware; no matter how hard you may practice being in the now; there are going to be on days and off days.

This is yet another aspect of the paradox of human nature. No matter what we do, we cannot be any one thing all the time. This is why nobody is always happy, always sad, always angry, always wide awake, or always sleepy. We live our lives in cycles, and we will experience thoughts and feelings between emotions and black and white extremes.

Even when you are practicing mindfulness, and being better aware of your thoughts, feelings, and intentional actions, there will be days you are not very mindful at all. There are going to be days where you do not create from your conscious self, but from your subconscious self.

Such days can be really irritating. When you are striving to make change in your life, and mindfulness is a particular aspect of that, having an off day feels…
