Too many see kindness, compassion, and caring as an imposition. Here’s why it’s not.

At the start of 2020, nobody would have believed that an invisible virus called COVID-19 would forever change the world.

By March, the first true pandemic since 1918 was sweeping across the planet. Before long, it was sickening and killing tens of thousands — and more.

Logic and reason, alongside science, suggested ways to slow or even stop the spread. Most are super easy acts of kindness, compassion, and caring.

· Maintain a social distance of 6 feet apart.

· Wear masks in public.

· If you are feeling unwell, isolate yourself.

Mask mandates came into being. A lockdown began to hold back the tide. For a brief, shining moment, it looked like reason and logic, kindness, compassion, and caring, might lessen the impact of this virus.

That died far, far too quickly. And so did way more people than should have, frankly.

The lockdown was ended far too soon. And then, in the name of “personal liberty”, many forced the mask mandates to be removed. The politicians and the business moguls…
