Nobody Knows it All

It’s good that nobody knows it all. That means there’s always something new to learn.

One of my favorite quotes — a proverb attributed to several different people — states:

“A wise man once said nothing.”

Talking is one of the primary forms of communication between us. It’s how we express thoughts, ideas, and feelings to people outside of ourselves.

Writing is similar but lacks the nuances of speech. Additionally, the written word cannot convey feelings, conviction, and other aspects of body language conversation does. That doesn’t lessen the impact the written word can have, like that of the spoken word.

No matter what form it takes — information is communicated, shared, distributed, and then acted upon. Whether it’s based on truth or lies.

Lots of people claim to have knowledge about various subjects. Some of them come from a place of study, research, education, science, and reason. Others come from a place of bullshit, hearsay, misinformation, opinion, and fear.

One of the important things to consider is where your information comes from. If it is a single point or multiple places with no basis in fact — you might want to not take it seriously. But like everything in life — this is a choice.
