Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Health Check-in — How Are You?
It’s good for people to check in with us. But how often do you check in with yourself?
One of the uglier elements of our fear-based society is a huge lack of accountability. Blame tends to come first and foremost, followed by finger-pointing, and maybe a begrudging acceptance of a small portion of personal responsibility.
It’s no wonder our mental health is so taxed. Or that our physical, emotional, and spiritual health are impacted right alongside it. When the message is “why bother?” or similar — combined with a lack of accountability — you can see the problem clearly.
When you are more responsible and accountable for your life experience — you can do more about every element of it. Rather than be a victim of circumstance, an unfortunate of one stripe or another, or any not-your-fault reason, you can empower yourself to be in control by taking accountability and responsibility for yourself.
But the first step to gaining control of your health, wellness, and wellbeing is to check in with yourself.
How are you? How am I?
We’re keen to ask people, often haphazardly, “how are you?” Sometimes, we genuinely want to know.
