The Perfection of a Perfectly Imperfect Life
Perfection, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
Nobody’s life is perfect.
That’s not the truth, though. The truth is that everyone’s life is perfectly imperfect.
Everyone makes mistakes. You, me, everyone. We all get it wrong, choose poorly, and hurt ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually.
On the other hand, everyone succeeds. You, me, everyone. We all get it right, choose wisely, and help/heal ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually.
We have far more control over how we approach our lives than we’re frequently led to believe. That’s because groupthink, the collective consciousness of our culture/society, and other forces have created “norms” that deviation from gets judged.
When we do something extraordinary that’s outside of the “norm”, it’s judged especially harshly. And its success or failure will each create impressions that will ultimately be judged.
We tend to focus on the results, the goals, and the achievements or failures themselves. What we don’t give sufficient attention to is the process, the journey. That impacts our overall health, wellness, and wellbeing from judgments both internal and external.
