This Time is a Sci-Fi and Fantasy Lover’s Dreams
So many great sci-fi shows, movies, and books are out there — a sci-fi and fantasy lover’s dreams.
My love of sci-fi began when I was a small child. Even before I saw Star Wars for the first time as a not-quite-5-years-old, I loved the idea of traveling across space, exploring the unknown, and all that represented.
Admittedly, I wasn’t much into comic books as a kid. None of my friends were into them. My exposure to X-Men was initially during summer camp in my early teens, then cartoons in the 90s. I was into the Christopher Reeve Superman and early Batman movies, too.
In my late teens, I started reading fantasy. I worked my way through JRR Tolkien, David Eddings, Anne McCaffery, and got seven books into Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series (but then I gave up on it). This influenced my writing, and while I had written sci-fi as a teenager, in my early 20s I started writing fantasy — and my Source Chronicles series was born.
I was influenced by the few sci-fi and fantasy movies, shows, and books out there. Today, there are an amazing number of sci-fi and fantasy books, movies, and TV shows happening. This time is the absolute sci-fi and fantasy lover’s dreams.
