What Did 2022 Look Like for Your Creative Endeavors?
Did you succeed with the creative endeavors you worked on?
Since I started to write full-time to live as a professional author, I’ve been producing a lot more finished work in my creative endeavors.
Let’s stick to my fiction work, here. Before shifting my focus to my creative endeavors, I self-published 3 novels before 2020. Then, in 2020, I published 3 novels. In 2021, I published 6 novels.
In 2022, I completed multiple works. The fifth and final novel in my Void Incursion series, Check and Mate; The first 2 novels in my new Savagespace sci-fi series, Alliances and Consequences (the complete titles are still under consideration); I completed my edits on the third Source Chronicles novel, Harbinger; and I’ve begun world-building a new, unnamed fantasy idea.
But sadly, I’ve been unable to publish. There’s nobody and nothing to blame for this, it is what is. While many creative endeavors were completed in 2022, I didn’t manage to do all that I had hoped to do.
Do I lament that after publishing 9 books in 2 years, I published 0 this year? No. Because I cannot see the way forward to know when I’ll be publishing in 2023, do I quit my creative endeavors? No. Because this is the work that brings me the most joy, and I am…
