Will You Get Uncomfortable to Change Your Life?
Getting uncomfortable on purpose seems kind of backward but is necessary for change.
When we leave our comfort zones and work our lives away from familiarity, getting uncomfortable is precisely what we’re doing.
I’m not a fan of this part.
There is nothing more disconcerting than effecting a major change in your life. Really, how crazy is it to move away from the comfortable, on purpose, to create something that may be better? Or, because the future is unwritten, uncertain, and unknown, possibly worse?
Yet that is how consciousness creates reality. We make our choices, decide to take action, and when the day is done we manifest something new and different.
Why must it be uncomfortable? I can think of several reasons for this. First, because when we are consciously choosing our destiny, we are doing something new, and different. Our fear-based society of lack and scarcity emphasizes creating comfort. Thus, stepping away from that is rebellious. We are also taught from a very young age that it can be something to fear.
When you consider how many mixed messages, paradoxes, and other so-called truths or “reality” we accept in our modern society, it’s hard to believe we’re not more…
