Wouldn’t Wearing Smaller-Sized New Clothes be Wonderful?
It would help a lot, though, if said new clothes fit! But I know that they will soon.
During autumn and winter, I live in jeans.
I am most comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans. That’s my jam. There is something about a good pair of jeans that I can’t explain — but when it comes to an option for pants, jeans are my choice.
Unfortunately, over the years, I’ve discovered that my jeans always wear out first at the inner thigh. In time, I have holes just below my crotch — and that’s the point where they become unwearable.
At the start of 2021, I was the heaviest I have ever been. As such, very little of my clothing fit me right. I made adjustments — including acquiring a larger pair or two of jeans.
Here’s the thing — I am 5’6”. BUT — I’m all torso. Hence, getting pants that fit me even close to correctly is a challenge. All my adult life most of my pants required hemming (and often tapering, too).
Then, to add insult to injury, at my heaviest — ALL of my excess weight was in my gut. So, wearing a belt gave way to needing suspenders if I didn’t want to constantly pull my jeans up. And I mean constantly.
