You Should Take that Vacation
Take that vacation for your health, wellness, and wellbeing.
For the first time in years, I’m on a vacation.
The original trip my wife and I plotted would have involved a flight, rental car, hotels, and more. Much as we’d have enjoyed that, we decided it would be too much. So instead, we drove 8 hours to somewhere neither of us have spent time before.
This has been an actual, factual vacation. We’ve done semi-touristy things, visited interesting spots, and eaten at many different and tasty restaurants. And given a year that, thus far, has been overloaded with challenges (all of which involve people we care deeply about — we’re well) we really needed this.
We very nearly didn’t take this trip. Also, we nearly cut it down from 5 days to 3. But now, as our vacation is nearly over, we’re both really glad we decided to take it.
